Don't know how many of you've seen this one. It's a book reading by Allen St. John from his book Clapton's Guitar, along with some playing of one of Henderson's guitars along with a TJ Thompson and a Martin. TJ is there adding to the experience for the viewers. Good little clip. You Tube Clapton's Guitar |

Thanks for the link. Very interesting! The sound is great even via computer. One bit shows that even famous luthiers can get wood shrinkage/expansion concepts completely wrong and still build fabulous instruments-should be liberating for all of us! John |

We should all be building and playing our guitars in a room which is controlled to 28%. Our skin would hate us and our lips would crack and fall off, but dang our guitars would sound good ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the book review Hesh, I'm certainly looking forward to getting my copy and reading it (not that my current school reading isn't fulfilling though ![]() I always like hearing what others who have a lifetime of experience have to say about guitar design and construction. My new resolution regarding guitar building, do not discard what anyone says, rather ponder it and see if it smells good ![]() |

Thanks for the video post Rod. I read this book too and enjoyed it a lot! Once I started ,It was very hard to put it down. Very interesting indeed! Wayne Henderson has a guitar picking contest every year with the winner getting a new Henderson guitar. Now that would be fun to see! ![]() link to contest |

I've read the book "Clapton's Guitar" and it's definitely worth the read. In fact, I offered to auction off a brand new hard-copy of the book on the OLF forum quite a while a go but am just waiting for the go-ahead from Brock and Lance. Greg |
